The most useful tool I’d never heard of
Not sure why our bodies didn’t come with an instruction manual – “The care and maintenance of your human body”. Would have made things quite a bit easier.
I only found out about this little gem a few years back – the tongue cleaner. It turns out that most bad breath is caused by bacteria growing on your tongue, and by simply scraping it away every morning, you’ll feel (and smell) better. My experience is that you want just enough pressure to scrape away the brownish buildup mostly at the back of your tongue. Too much, and you’ll injury your tongue, so be careful. I brush first, rinse, scrape and rinse again.
I’ve found these tongue cleaners are far more effective than “brushing your tongue”, which seems a bit like being asked to “comb your teeth”. Interesting concept, but wrong tool.
